Public Assembly on Black Lake Protect Administration Plan and Grasp Recreation PlanThe Alachua County Workplace of Land Conservation and Administration (Alachua County Perpetually Program) will host a public assembly on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. The assembly is to debate the proposed Administration Plan and Grasp Recreation for Black Lake Protect, situated west of Melrose. The assembly is from 6 p.m. to eight p.m. on the Trinity Episcopal Church (204 S.R. 26, Melrose).

This assembly gives residents the chance to study concerning the proposed Administration Plans for the Protect, together with the upkeep and restoration of the pure communities, invasive unique plant administration methods, use of prescribed fireplace, forest useful resource administration methods, future public entry alternatives, and extra.

Black Lake Protect is a 288-acre nature protect situated in japanese Alachua County, on the south facet of Lake Santa Fe. The Alachua County Perpetually Program bought the protect on June 5, 2020, utilizing funds from the 2016 voter-approved Wild Areas and Public Locations surtax.
